Can't complain about the food at the Palms Restaurant and it's reasonably priced. However, the service leaves much to be desired, especially if you arrive between 11.30-12.00. I arrived at 11.25 for a birthday meal with my Aunt (72) and mother (68) to discover they don't serve main meals until 12.00. I understood why they do this, however I asked if they would take our order in advance and we would happily wait until the started service at 12.00. They refused, so we bought coffee and waited. I then approached the counter 90 seconds before 12.00 and they still refused to take my order! By the time I got back to my seat they were taking lunch orders!!! We left and will never be going again. Can't understand other reviews saying" caring staff" and "very accommodating chef"..... certainly wasn't my experience and their general attitude left much to be desired.

The web site is very poor. You have very limited varieties of roses and do not state if you order them in for your clients.

I always head here for garden stuff and have done for years. However, this review is after I had a fall (not looking where I was going!) The staff were kind, helpful and, without fussing, picked me up and made sure I was okay. Thank you!
