Last year I purchased 3 compost bags only to find they were not suitable for ericeaceous plants, so this year I was determined to take more care of what I was buying. However, after enlisting the advice of one of your workers, I purchased 3 Westlands Multi purpose compost with added John Innes. There was no indication on the front of these bags, which we read carefully, and no notice on the pile itself. It wasn't until I got them home and read the reverse of the bag, to my dismay, that I found they were not to be used with ericeaceous plant s and therefore I am not able to spread the compost around my hydrangeas, rhododendruns and azaleas. You will appreciate that the bags are very heavy and it is not easy to turn them over when on the display. I feel therefore that a notice of some kind should be displayed beside the display so that customers are aware of the type of compost this is. Your co operation in this matter would be appreciated.

I haven't visited Cowell's fit a long time (don't know why). I've started going again and I'm like a kid in a sweetie shop. The variety of plants is fantastic. The condition of the plants is immaculate. I'm so glad I stayed going again. It's a garden centre not an excuse to sell you jumpers, shoes, bric a brac and goodness knows what else. There's no cafe its a garden centre! If you want plants go here.
