Had a deliciou lunch and picked up 2 small watering cans on the way out. 1 had a price tag of £6.45 so I expect to be charged £12.90. The young lad on the till scanned them and asked for £13.50. When I pointed out that this was incorrect he replied this is what the scanner said. He called a manager called Lisa who was more concerned about what the lad had done with the till than the fact I was waiting to purchase 2 watering cans! She eventually turned to me and said I could have 1 watering can for £6.45 but would have to pay £6.75 for the second identical one which had no price on it. No apology for the attitude of the young lad, no apology for the inconsistent pricing. Understandably I bought neither. Training and customer service is essential particulary for weekend staff. My situation was handled very badly.

Always enjoy visiting Everton Garden Centre. I find the staff very helpful. If one cannot answer my queries they find someone who can. Ok so sometimes they don't have the exact plant I am looking for, but no garden centre can stock 'every' plant on the market. One time they didn't have what I wanted but told me where to go to get it, whereas other times other people have referred me to Everton. When I was looking for an Espalier Pear Tree two other local garden centres referred me to Everton and they had exactly what I was looking for, then insisted on delivering it so it didn't get damaged in my car. Excellent service.

We are lucky to live so near to such a good Garden Centre - great variety of healthy plants, knowledgeable helpful staff, tools and gifts galore PLUS a super coffee/lunch/ shop with naughty cakes!
