If I could leave less than one star I would myself and my wife have just visited this garden centre upon finding the cafe following the smells we went in for two breakfasts I Suffer from a severe egg allergy and enquires if it would be possible to swap out the egg for another rasher of bacon the reply came Nice Try!! And he offered some more beans/ mushrooms I’m sorry but that doesn’t constitute a fair like for like so after being rather rudely spoken to we have left to take our business and money elsewhere. I have never been treated this way when asking to swap the egg for a substitute. I will never be coming back which is a shame as it seemed a pleasant place to wonder around in apart from the fact we were going to be spending a lot of money having seen a table and chairs set we liked on the way in. Don’t come here unless you want to be treated in a horrible manor. Perhaps the management needs to train the staff some etiquette or just general manners.

Utterly disappointed, I've never had a bad experience in the cafe before today. Myself and a group of friends came for breakfast today and all ended up just ordering tea. One of the ladies in my group is gluten and dairy free and this couldn't be accommodated due to cream being added to scrambled eggs and poached egg no longer being served. The other 3 of us wanted poached eggs as this is on the menu but were told that poached eggs haven't been served for months. When i advised it would be a good idea to take them off the menu this was completely dismissed. Also I asked if scrambled eggs could be made without the cream but again I was told this is all pre made and couldn't be done.....I mean how hard is it to crack a few eggs and mix them in a pan!!

I find the staff and service in the shop are excellent. The restaurant/cafe was very poor on our visit today. Our breakfast order was missing certain items and the eggs over cooked. We specifically asked for our fried eggs to be soft. Yolks were hard and black underneath. Bacon was crispy overdone. Our drinks card needed 2 more drink stamps. We ordered 3 hot drinks, two were stamped on the old card and 1 on the new card. Our 10th drink should have been free. When querying this all 3 ladies said when we come again our next drink would be free . So they got that wrong. When our order was delivered to our table, the lady just put it on the table, never asked who’s was who’s. Never spoke a word. On leaving the restaurant all three ladies glared at us and seemed to think that were stupid. What has happened to the lovely staff there that were so helpful over the years that we have visited the restaurant. The family live in Great Horkesley and our visiting family come from Felixstowe. Poor
