We went to Fillpots Cafe this evening with our children just after the school run to have cake and tea to celebrate my little girls 2nd birthday. We were the only people in the cafe and it was made very clear that we weren’t welcome and the staff wanted to go home. It was so uncomfortable that we left at 4.20pm. As soon as we left the door was locked straight away. We are regulars to the cafe and have never felt like this in the past! We won’t be returning and will certainly spread the word that this venue is not family friendly

Apart from the wide range of plants and other items and an excellent cafe, first class food , the staff are the most helpful, attentive and kind people ever. They go beyond was could be expected of them.

Excellent garden centre with very helpful staff. The cafe on the other hand leaves a lot to be desired. My first visit to both. Staff in cafe were laxidasical and not interested. Booked in for afternoon tea-what a farce. Toasted gf bread, walnuts in sandwiches very little choice of cakes. Presented on wooden planks which made the food look even more unappertising! Not enough sandwiches for 5 out of our group. Had to ask four times for more milk and then only one little jug was brought through for us. Others were given choice of sandwich fillings, cakes and cheeses and were presented beautifully on proper serving plates. Afternoon tea for us was not worth the £10.98 per head! Dispicable!
