Garden Centre itself is lovely. Some beautiful plants and they all looked healthy and well looked after. Cannot say the same for the cafe, unfortunately. Booked an afternoon tea for 7 of us to sit down at 3:15pm. Arrived in good time. Were not told we had to pay before we started, so by the time we found out, there was a long queue. Result? 3:45pm before we even got drinks! No sugar or teaspoons provided with drinks. When we asked, were told we were supposed to get our own! Tea pots all leaked. Gluten free food VERY disappointing (except for lemon & ginger cake which was lovely). First time I have ever had toasted sandwiches at afternoon tea! Excuse given for this was weak and not very believable. No scones and cream, which was what the others had. No cake stands either. Food bought out on medieval-type wooden platters which took up most of table. Staff were sweeping floor while we were still eating. All in all a very disappointing visit and will not be in a hurry to return there.

A lovely local garden centre, with some beautiful plants and gifts. The staff are really helpful and seems to know their stuff! Their Cafe is fabulous, with yummy cakes and lunches. They also have a pretty outdoor garden, which is perfect in the hot weather, as each table has its own umbrella. They have a small food shop as well, selling local eggs, honey and frozen meals. Definitely worth a visit!
