Tried out the cafe. My wife ordered a cream eclair. She took a bite and spat it out straight away with a grimace saying it tasted awful. I smelled it and could tell that the cream was well off. My wife returned the eclair to the counter where she was asked if she wanted a refund. No apology was offered. Looks like it might be a regular thing. The garden centre itself is more like a pound land centre with cheap goods a plenty. Very much turning in to a cheap and tacky multi purpose garden centre without the skill to keep the service levels up. I won't be returning.

I have visited the centre for approx 5 years and always been happy with the range although the prices were not cheap I was happy to pay for the quality of the plants. On a recent visit I was dismayed to see that it is more like a franchise for homeware/bakery shops. The access into the plant area is awful, pushing a trolley through a maze of goods other than plants is a feat in itself, the entrance is crowded, once inside you are not allowed to go back into the outside plant area with a trolley (if you decide you want a further look) and have to manouvre through a disorganised and messy system to try and make purchases. I will not be returning which is a shame as a visit to what used to be an actual garden centre was an enjoyable experience.

Visited today and was totally amazed at how many plants were either dead or dying purely through lack of water.Plants seem to be brought in fresh but then totally neglected.Losses must be extremely high.Lots of staff at checkout area hanging around who really ought to have been watering especially on a hot sunny day.Previously I have been impressed hence today's visit but would be very unlikely to return now.Also many 'offers' of 50% off highly inflated prices only bring the sale price down to what they should be anyway.Such a shame as used to be quite impressed.
