My nan and I visited the garden centre to go and have lunch at the cafe. We were sat near where they prepare the food and we saw that one of the ladies touched the bin and to put something in there and then touched food to prepare them without washing her hands after touching the bin. We saw another lady using a cloth to wipe and then cut up a baguette with the cloth still in her hand and the cloth was touching it. We thought this was very unhygienic and we got put off eating our food. I really think that there should be something done about this as we are the one eating the food that they are touching. We would have thought that if they're touching the food we will be eating, they'll be more cautious of what they're doing.

We came yesterday to look for a Christmas tree. We wanted only a small one and had the best possible attention from one of the staff - I think his name was Rob. We are elderly and not particularly strong and this gentleman helped us by carrying the chosen tree, cutting the trunk for us, and offering to take the tree to our car. A lady in the same department came straight up to see if she could help. Everyone was as helpful as could be, without being pushy or trying to sell us things we didn't want. On the way out, the range of wild bird foods was very good and the prices reasonable so we stocked up. The Christmas display was excellent, colourful and tasteful, and although we didn't buy, we did enjoy looking at it all. I felt this was a truly successful visit.
