I visited your garden centre today (Sunday 8th Sept) and had a very rude man serve me! There was no politeness or apology for not giving a service over the weekend. I saw no signs anywhere stating you do not do water testing over the weekend, and when I asked why he said its because they are so busy. At this point there was a member of staff sitting in the back room not doing anything and a total of 4 customers in the entire shop. He said it would take 10 minutes and didn't have the time! How is this good customer service? How can I buy for my tank when I don't know if my water is suitable? I have been a customer for 3 years and always bought with you for my fish tank. You have lost a customer who once valued your centre. My mother and I were shocked at how abrupt and rude your member of staff was. I put the items I was going to buy back and went to another shop where I will be going from now on.

I am a big fan of Haslemere Garden Centre. The staff are very friendly, there are a range of gardening products and plants to keep me occupied (and if not they can normally order in), the fish are entertaining for small children, ditto the excellent outside pond and fountain area. The cafe is excellent. We go there at least once a week. On the odd occasion I have wanted to return things, there hasn't ever been a problem.

We have always brought our plants, compost and pots from the Haselmere Garden Centre and have found them to have been of consistently good quality. Also (and perhaps most importantly for those not blessed with green fingers!) the standard of customer care is excellent and we have always come away better informed and feeling valued.
