I have traded at Lakers for many years. The previous owners were very friendly and helpful, and the prices very low, but the nursery was a little "Heath Robinson" and sold little other than plants and compost. The new owners are just as friendly and helpful but have smartened up and extended the scope of the nursery to include toilets, a splendid tea room and a small shop. The shop does not seek to compete with those of larger nurseries but provides commonly used essentials. Anybody looking for healthy plants at a reasonable price should visit Lakers. Whilst there enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and a slice of cake.

We stumbled on this nursery last summer and found the owner very welcoming and the prices far more realistic than those at the multiple outlets. Having this on our doorstep is a great asset to our gardening days and last week we visited and took tea in the newly opened tea rooms. The tea room was lovely and the cakes and tea superb and all home made at very reasonable prices. The Millionaires shortbread was wonderful. I would certainly recommend Lakers as an alternative to the very over priced Buckingham GC a few miles away. personal service and in a lovely location and great prices for all. Thank you.
