Rushfields was established in 1984 on a Green field site, over the years it has gone through many changes, starting its life as a small nursery growing bedding plants and vegetables in polythene tunnels, it soon became apparent that the demand for a wider range of products would mean that Rushfields needed to expand.

I just bought a Nordic Spruce tree (the cheaper of the 2 choices), 8-9ft tall and it is VERY impressive. I got it delivered to my home in Brighton 3 days after ordering it. They were having a 25% off sale for a few hours and I got it then. Even 25% off delivery. There was quite a bit of back and forth on the phone as they were very busy and the lady who served me didn't know how to do a money transfer over the phone. They were mostly patient on the phone with me (I had a few questions as it was my first real tree). I asked for the bottom to be sawed on delivery as I didn't own a saw and my request was approved, however, this request was forgotten. Nevertheless, I am very satisfied with the quality of the tree and am glad the delivery man carried it up the stairs to my place, all at a bargain. I don't care about the falling needles either.

Rushfields has become a marvellous visit for its plants and garden accessories.In addition the Farm shop has a comprehensive range of food with as good meat as you will find anywhere, a brilliant unbeatable cheese counter and the best value food in its cafe in the district.Maybe I am biased as I live nearby but try it and you will see what I mean!

We have enjoyed many trips to the coffee shop however today we were very disappointed. The drinks took far too long to prepare as staff where busy talking too much and then when our large farmers breakfast arrived we only had HALF a mushroom each on the plate. I find this rather mean and it looked dreadful bearing in mind the cost of the breakfast and your links to the farmshsop right next door. Such a shame.
