I have lived locally for some 17 years and I've always used staples garden centre, I strongly believe in supporting small local businesses and have always found the staff welcoming and helpfull, they don't have the best plant knowledge but are willing to help the best they can, it has a lovelly coffe shop which I use a lot and as I also have my own small buisness in flitwick I often take clients there for meetings, but today I was met by the most awfull and rude woman who I believe is the owner. We decided as a family on a lovelly Sunday morning to go to garden centre as I wanted some bedding plants, walk the dog and have a coffee, but before I had managed to get my boots on and get out of the car we were approached by this extremely rude woman who wanted to know what we were doing? I'm well aware that staples is private property and out of respect would never of presumed it was ok to walk the dog and park the car there and as I explained I was on my way in to ask if this was ok?

One of the many garden centres locally, this one is worth going a little out of the way for if your around MK. Excellent in every way and with good prices to boot! A cafe, car wash (£4 for a med size car at time of writing Oct 2012) pet area with a fabulous range of animals, although I didn't see any kittens or puppies. Excellent helpful staff. The Christmas stuff is just being put out and it too is excellent.
