Visited 29th April to select garden furniture and buy one or two small items for gardening. Upon leaving the garden centre th alarm bell rang and we were asked to return into the shop. The assistant deactivated our items again and asked to check our receipt which we produced. As she couldn't deactivate the items I suggested that it was unimportant as we were returning home and it wouldn't present us with a problem. We were then advised that she could not permit us to leave without deactivating the items even though our receipt was in order and she asked if we had anything else 'on us'. Obviously she had no legal right to do this but we did not want a fuss and we were made to feel very uneasy. Needless to say we will not be returning. Appalling customer service. No understanding of the rights of the consumer nor any evidence of manners

Plants need better looking after they still want high prices for plants that are coming to there end of life trolly park is on a slope and there for some fun in to parked cars

Visted this garden centre 7th April 2018. Paid for small number of goods and while waiting in queue at checkout heard security alam at exit go off several times. A few moments later security scanner went off as I left the premisesand I was obliged to return to prove I had paid for goods, which should have had their security tag taken off at checkout. Asked to see manager who was standing at the door and was told that security scans often do not work, obliging paying customers to be embarrassed in front of other customersby being hauled back into premises to prove they have paid, Manager was scarecely apologetic at all and did not appreciate being told that it was the shop's responsibility to make sure their security systems were actually working. This shop appears to have no idea of good customer management and little respect for customers who are justly annoyed by being falsely accused of theft! If security alarms are faulty they should be switched off until working properly.
