I visited this nursery a few month's back after moving to this area in March, it was one of a few I had visited as I was replanting the garden I had inherited. When I arrived there was a chap busy labelling a new lot of pots he had received. I found the layout to be a bit confusing, a bit like Eric Morecambe, all the right plants but maybe not in the right place. After going down the various lines of trestles of plants I collected trolley and started making my selection until I came across a notice saying they didn't take cheques without card's. Talking to the labeller of pot's. We don't take card's was the response, ATM down the road, make a payment directly into his account, ATM down the road. Luckily I had enough cash for plants collected, so I stopped shopping and went to what they called a check out, a wooden table. A lady then added up the items in her head, some not labelled, and I paid. They don't ever give you a tally roll. Not very helpful place and a grunt when I left.

As you enter our nursery there is a prominent sign saying 'Sorry we do not accept card payment'. 'We accept cheques with phone or postcode on reverse'. You Obviously misread the sign or didn't like it and chose to ignore it. You asked my staff member about paying by card, You then asked me several times about card, bacs etc, I said sorry there is atm couple of minutes away. Layout confusing maybe? Two perennial areas with over 20 thousand plants on benches at a height of 3feet. All well labelled and priced, yes the odd price label does come off. Shrubs, Climbers,Roses and Trees are all in separate areas. Yes we do put customers plants in boxes or bags on a table and total the price up at the same time, customer is welcome to have a receipt for their purchase if required. Unfortunately you took umbrage that we would not accept card or Bacs. Payment. And that our working Nursery is not run like a large chain Garden Center.

I have been a customer of Rogers for many years and had to post a review after seeing the previous posting as it got me going. This nursery is without a doubt one of the cheapest and few true plant nurseries in Kent such a wide selection of plants infact I would say 85% of my plants are from here from shrubs to clematis , roses and perennials his selection is just fantastic. I can't say I have ever seen Roger be rude to customers and I can only imagine if the review below is true they must have been quite unbearable people.. also I'm not sure why or how you would be able to design a garden at this nursery or any other as it's so full of plants there is no space.. I can only imagine you got in everyone's way .. or perhaps your a rival garden centre ? Regardless pop along and find out for yourself..

Me and my friend have been going to this nursery for a number of years. Owner today was very rude. Kicked our plants across the floor as he felt they were in his way. We had them all in a trolly but he took them out and used the trolly himself. We were getting plants for my garden and were trying to work out what we needed so had spent a lot of time getting them together. We went to pay and were told 'it's not a design studio' . We said we had tried to keep them in a trolly and away from the sales counter but he had taken it away. He then got cross. We asked him what he would like us to do, would he like us to leave and he said, 'yes go on leave'. We left without any of our plants and he lost a sale of more than £120. If we were spending too much time choosing our plants I wish he had said something to us earlier. We could have then done something about it. Very disappointed.
