I visited the garden centre with my daughter & 2 small grandchildren. We popped into the cafe for lunch, the highlight of our visit..normally. Our lunch arrived & we asked for an extra plate for the 2 year old as the children were going to share a meal. We were told that it was the policy of the cafe not to give spare plates to customers! I was appalled at this petty unfriendly policy & will never patronise the garden centre or cafe again. Our special treat was ruined.

After realizing with horror that my mum's birthday was the following day, I got online and ordered some flowers to be delivered the following day (Saturday). I live in the USA and placed the order at 2am Saturday morning UK time...and the flowers were delivered by 11.30am the same day to the address in England. My mum said they are incredible..so much so that she will use this place for flowers herself from now on. I was really impressed with level of service and timely manner in which they delivered the flowers given it was done at such short notice.

Friendly helpful staff. massive range of plants, Shrubs all in good condition, large stock of plant pots, gardening tools etc Tropic and cold water fish dept. Rabbits guinea pigs etc. The Potting Shed Cafe is well worth a visit, good quality food cooked fresh for you..
