We visited the garden centre a couple of weeks ago to buy an Acer. The range of plants and trees are fantastic and reasonably priced. However, the elderly female that served us had no manners what so ever. No please or thank you, not even a smile. It was raining and miserable outside, but still, even if your feeling miserable, don't let the customers see that. My husband won't usually comment but oddly on this occasion he did. He said he'd just parted with nearly £50 so a thank you would have been nice.

I recommended Bardills to my son , not because I have had cut flowers from them before but because they are local ( within a 2 mile radius ) I thought they would be of fair value .
However on ordering a bouquet to be delivered to his wife for their anniversary in my opinion he received anything but value for money
He paid £50 so you would think you would receive a decent amount of flowers in June for that sort of money .... Well think again !!
Because I recobmmended Bardills I felt compelled to complain after he told me how disappointed he was.
The so called " manageress" of the flower dept proceeded to give me a breakdown of the cost of this so called bouquet
£2 per rose
£6 for delivery
£12 for the vase ( which is the sort you pick up for a couple of quid from IKEA )
Then she listed the cost of the greenery, the girls time for putting it together , the cost of the bit of ribbon, the sachet of plant food etc
Bardills to me you are a rip off

The staff have walkie-talkies, this made it extremely fast to locate a member of staff to help me when I visited today.
Although I visited near closing time, they were still willing to help and took me to the item I was interested in. Although they could do with some signage or arrows on pathways so you can find way about.
They have 3 delivery charge areas depending on the distance, the minimum being £9.95.
