On the outskirts of Silloth on Solway in Cumbria is Bank Mill visitor centre. It is situated in a beautiful natural setting. You can enjoy a day out here with their nursery, where you can purchase bedding plants, trees and shrubs with a specific section to grow your own. You can visit their nature reserve which is on the grounds of the nursery in Silloth on Solway, where you will find a wide range of wildlife. Don’t for get to check out their Jurassic island which is certain to keep the little ones entertained. Then top your day off in their coffee shop to refuel your energy.

I use this garden centre for all my basic supplies including plants of course. High quality goods at competitive prices. The staff are brilliant, they carry items to the car for me and load them up as I have a spinal problem. Nothing is too much trouble. Since moving up here I have had some lovely shrubs and plants, all good quality and all have grown well. When I go there I always pop into the café too where you can get a great range of drinks, meals or snacks. If you love animals too then this is the place to go as there is an animal sanctuary and there are plenty of things for children to see and do. I always bring my grandchildren here when they come to visit. Highly recommended.

As a local person I visit Bank Mill Bistro regularly with friends for lunch and have always found the choice and food excellent, staff very friendly and accommodating and prices more than reasonable. I always take the grandchildren there on their visits. They are well catered for in the Bistro and there is plenty to do inside and outside, they love it. The plants in the nursery are hard to beat and I always stock my garden with their plants. Great place to stop at if travelling the West Coast.

Would like to say how much fun my family had today enjoyed every bit of it the maze & parks and quiz and gift for son and rescue animals too made it a great chance for mummy to pick flowers etc in peace! friendliness of staff and how good products are and well look after and prepared is great will Defo be back for sure!! Also prices are great for quality too IMPRESSED lots! Food facilities and toilets look fab too :-) x
