This is an excellent store. The owner, Mike is always helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. The staff are likewise obliging. Their rage of products is astonishing.

i have been using hurst green garden stores for 25years plus mike the owner has always been very helpful if he hasnt got the item in stock he will go out his way to get it for you you dont get this service at b@q 5stars.

The outlook of Hurst Green Home and Garden Centre has never changed since my childhood. The original owners were always welcoming, friendly and very helpful. However, the new (although it's been 15 plus year now) customer service is extremely uncomfortable, making me feel unwelcomed. For this reason I stopped going for many years. Recently I decided to give it another go and on all 4 occasions I have had appalling service. The owner follows and stand right next to me as if I were a thief and upon confronting the owner I recieve fawl, disgusting and abusive language together with strong encouragement to leave the shop. I will never go again and most likely contact my solicitors regarding the matter!!
