Made my first visit today to the Mediterranean Nursery, it's not easy to find, and could do with better directions and advertising to make people aware of its existence. My first impression was that it looked rundown, weeds everywhere, a few dead plants not removed, stones not raked and bare patches of underlay everywhere (a trip hazard). There was a fair selection of plants to be had, although I did think some of the larger specimens were vastly overpriced. The café area was quite nice, but I suspect it to be a recent addition built over stones again with some of the underlay showing (you couldn't take a wheelchair in there). Had a nice cup of tea and a lovely slice of home made fruit cake, chatted to the owners, they were very knowledgeable about the plants in their care but I didn't feel pressured to buy anything. there is also a lovely gift shop. They could try and make it more wheelchair friendly with paving stones on the walkway areas and in the café.
